DID YOU KNOW? - The District of Columbia has drop off sites for unwanted personal items and bulk trash available to DC residents free of charge with a valid DC ID. Residents can utilize the drop-off site to dispose of their unwanted personal property and there are sites located within close proximity to the RDC Community.
Please note that trash collection services in our community are provided by a private company named GCI. Dwellings of more than 3 homes are not serviced by DC for trash pick-up services, dwellings of more than 3 homes must contract for private trash collection. GCI IS NOT EQUIPPED TO PICK UP BULK TRASH DURING THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED COMMUNITY SERVICE DAYS:

Wednesday RECYCLING
If you place bulk trash alongside your regular trash pick-up, it will not be retrieved by GCI. If you have bulk trash, including DISCARDED FURNITURE, MATTRESSES, APPPLIANCES, etc., Homeowners, at your own expense, YOU MUST SCHEDULE YOUR OWN BULK TRASH PICK UP. You may arrange with GCI, or any company of your choice, or you may choose to drop off your bulk items for FREE with DC. More information listed below.
